Ferritin
Serum ferritin level acts as an indicator of available iron stores in the body and is a sensitive test for iron-deficiency anaemia.
We also sell a more comprehensive iron status profile test.
Simply collect a sample of blood at home using a finger prick and send the provided tube to the lab for analysis. You will receive a lab test report showing your ferritin levels along with the reference ranges for your gender and age. Results will be available within 2-3 business days (weekdays) after the lab receives the sample. The report will be quantitative, including actual figures and remarks for any results that fall outside the normal range. The report will be sent to your email.
Low ferritin levels can be a sign of iron deficiency, which is a common type of anaemia that can lead to fatigue, weakness and other health problems. High ferritin levels can indicate an iron overload or other medical conditions, such as liver disease and inflammation.
